About the drug destruction event organized within the framework of the International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking

   On June 26, 2020 the demonstration of drug destruction taken from illicit trafficking was organized in the framework of the International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the territory of the plant of JSC "UZVTORCVETMET".

   The event, organized in compliance with the established requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19, was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies, the diplomatic corps and the media.

   Before the commencement of the ceremony involved burning, a briefing was organized with the participation of the Director of NCDC O.Narzullaev, the Regional Representative of the UNODC in Central Asia A. Mittal, the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan J.McGregor.

   In total, 626 kg 981 g narcotic drugs were burnt in the furnaces, including 4 kg 96 g. heroin, 127 kg 154 gr. opium, 25 kg 426 gr. hashish, 266 kg 35 gr. marijuana, 105 kg 511 gr. poppy straw, 97 kg 209 gr. cannabis, 1 kg 543 gr. synthetic drugs, as well as a large number of various psychotropic, potent and psychoactive drugs in the form of tablets and solutions.
